Pasiparupu dosai / Moong dhal dosai

This recipe was from an other friend here. Her version is just moong dhal, but one of my other friend A,  tried it by adding split green gram. When i tried at home, people had with no complainants. I make it quiet frequently for the reason of proteins packed in this dosa.

Ingredients:
To soak:
Moong dhal - 3/4 cup
split green gram - 1/4 cup
idli rice - 1/2 cup

To grid:
Green chilly - 1
ginger - small piece
curry leaves - 1 spring
Jeera - 1/4 tsp

Method:

Soak dhal and rice together for 3 hrs.

While grinding add the other ingredients and grind to a dosa batter consistency. Neither  too coarse like adai nor too fine.

No need to ferment, heat a griddle and take a ladle full of batter and spread it , sizzle some oil , cover and cook for few minutes on both the sides.

serve with chutney!

Avocado chapati

Wanted to include avocado into our meal, but except me no one likes avocado at home. I have tried this avocado chapati at a friends place long time back. so made this and believe me it was super soft and all liked at home . Still a small punch of avocado is coming from the chapati's , to overcome that make sure your gravy is super good .
Ingredients:
Wheat flour - 1.5 cups
water - 1 table spoon or as per your need
salt - to taste
ghee - 1/2 tsp
avocado - 1 ( big)

Method:

Remove the skin and the seed from the avocado

smash it really well with hand .

Add the flour and the needed salt. Don't add water at this time. Keep kneading it and it will form a thick dough.

based on the consistency add the water .Mix well. Add in the ghee as well.

cover it tightly and let it sit for at least an hour.

Make small size ball , dust with the flour and start rolling them.

Heat the tawa and cook the chapatis with some oil on both sides.
serve with any side dish..
super soft and healthy chapati's are ready!!
